The Best MUD/WTR Recipe

If you’re looking for a good coffee alternative made with organic ingredients and does NOT have that jitter and crash… then MUD/WTR might be the answer!

However, it took me some time to find a way to actually make this something I enjoy drinking on a daily basis. Before I get into the “blog” portion, let me give you the recipe so I don’t waste your time ;)

So why MUD/WTR?

Everyone has their preferences of caffine. I personally LOVE coffee. I used to drink SEVERAL cups per day, but now I only drink 1! I personally don’t want to stay addicted to coffee, so I’ve been trying to make a switch. So far, I drink my 1 cup of coffee in the morning, then I make a cup of this after lunch.

Many people don’t drink caffeine or coffee at ALL and drink this instead! So it’s honestly just up to personal preference.

It took me a while to find a good recipe so I didn’t have to drink this “black” - and that’s what I’m here to share with you today!

The Secret Ingredient

This SOWN Organic Oat Creamer is the holy grail… It’s almost ALWAYS sold out because it’s so dang good!

I use this in my coffee (if I don’t think it black) and use it in my MUD. I love that it’s creamy and sweet, but not too sweet - it’s literally perfect in my opinion.

My mom first introduced this to me when she got a 3 pack of them. The best part is that they don’t have to be refrigerated until after they’re open, and they last 30 whole days after you open it!

I order mine from Amazon on the regular (when they’re in stock, that is).

This makes all the difference in the world - trust!

You can find this amazing oat creamer here.

Step 3

Use your MUD Whip (or other frother) to mix the oat creamer and MUD together.

Step 4

Once your water is boiled (I use this water boiler), pour 1.5 cups into your MUD mixture.

Step 5

Use your MUD Whip (or other frother) again to mix everything together. I usually do this for about 15 seconds to make sure everything is mixed together.

Step 6

After everything is blended, make sure it’s not too hot for your liking and then taste it to see if you need more creamer or not :)

Final Thoughts

Here are a few things I want to give you a heads-up about:

  • Try using a bigger-sized coffee cup. If you think about it, 1.5 cups of water is sort of a lot! And when you have that mixed with a powerful little blending device, it can easily spill over. Hot coffee flying everywhere is just NOT something I personally like, but you do you ;)

  • If you do use this MUD Whip, be careful about it stripping the inside of your coffee mug. I started to notice gray areas in my coffee cups and realized the other day that it’s from the metal on the whip! I personally don’t care, but just something to keep in mind.

  • If you let the MUD sit for too long, it quite literally becomes mud. If you let it cool off and don’t mix it again, you’ll notice there is just a big clump of mud sitting in the bottom of your coffee mug. Again, that’s not something I personally prefer in my life, but you might be different!

  • I did provide some links above. If you choose to use any of those links and purchase something, I might get a tiny commission from it. However, it doesn’t affect your final payment at all! So using those links provided is completely up to your preference :)

We all know that taste is completely relative and subjective to each individual, but this is definitely worth trying! Let me know if you decide to try this!
