Day 14/30 of #GratitudeMonth and I’m grateful for CHOICES! ⬇️
Being able to choose what we do with our time is such a gift. We truly cannot control how long we’re here for, but we CAN control how we spend the time we’ve been given…
EXAMPLE: Sure, working out tomorrow morning might not *directly* impact anyone in a positive way (not right away at least), but I know my current health habits could have an impact on how long I’m here for. Exercise also makes me think more clearly, so I can take proper care of all my work tomorrow. It also makes me happier, so I could positively impact someone’s life tomorrow. It also makes me my energized, so I will be productive tomorrow and have time to make dinner for Ev and I!
THESE ARE ALL CHOICES that I have to intentionally keep in the forefront of my mind so that when I feel tired and it’s not super convenient to workout tomorrow, I still go. Why? Because I want to bring value to people I might encounter. I want to take excellent care of my clients who have hired me to do a job. I want to remain as healthy as I can so I can play with my future grandkids someday. I want to be energized so I’m not a potato when Evan comes home and I have capacity to cook, clean, tape auditions, and talked to loved ones.
I love that we get the freedom to make our own choices. We get to choose who we want to be, where we want to live, what we want to do, and WHAT legacy we want to leave behind. That last part is the most important IMO.
You see? CHOICES are amazing! It’s a gift to be here. It’s a gift to have freedom to choose to do the uncomfortable things. So I want to use this time to do whatever I CAN control to be the best version of myself for my family, clients, friends, and any strangers I encounter. I want to be someone who adds value to others, and that starts with me taking care of myself. So thankful I get to do that 🤍
Want to learn more about my story? I’d love to share it with you! Just let me know what you’re wanting to know! :)
